The 15-minute digital opening checklist
Servd Team · 28 August 2026 · 5 min read

An opening checklist should prevent service failures, not become paperwork. Keep it short enough to finish every day and make each check produce evidence or a clear exception.
Cover the critical path
- Confirm float and terminal connectivity.
- Print one test ticket at every production station.
- mark unavailable items and modifiers before channels open.
- Verify bookings, delivery capacity, and staff assignments.
- Record fridge temperatures and unresolved maintenance issues.
Assign each task to a role and escalate only failed checks. Review repeated failures weekly; the checklist should improve the system, not permanently compensate for it.
